It will be up to you to communicate to the hiring manager the benefits that come with hiring you. It is imperative that you learn how to convey your qualifications based on a company’s needs, not what you want.
It doesn’t have to be overly complicated. It can be as simple as following the sample formula to craft the perfect elevator pitch.
“I am a (position/title) with expertise in (keyword, keyword, keyword). I’m exploring new opportunities in (industry) as a (position/title). I help (ideal client/employer) to (feature) so they can (benefit).”
For example, consider when applying for a job in HR: “I help Fortune500 corporations optimize their human resources function so they can hire and retain a diverse, motivated and highly engaged employee base.”
